It all started with a trip to the south of France…
A family photoshoot in Europe left me searching for just the right look and no place to go. I became a frustrated brand-hopper searching for Vintage Lacey yet Classy Modern Tops – something that could be worn on Pants, Jeans, Skirts, as well as Shorts. I failed at finding that “perfect coveted look” comprised of the chic elegance for a Sunday brunch, Happy Hour, Board Room presentation or a Perfect Vacation.
So I decided to follow my passion and try it myself. I sketched, designed, and brought my creations to life. Not only did the new look fit in with the family photoshoot, but also, grabbed attention from the locals in Paris asking about the unique design and desire to see more. Today I call that Shirt – The Parisian Rose.
Family trips always evoke childhood memories. This was no different for me. It was my childhood summers spent in Europe and Asia where my love affair with design first began. It reminded me of how I was always in awe of lace, tulle, crochet, antique buttons found in vintage markets and always curious to learn more. Bringing the family together again fanned the flames of a dream never forgotten. And I took the plunge!
With a background in business and retail, a degree from Harvard, and love for fashion, I decided to follow my dreams and create a fun-loving brand inspired by travels, packs light, and promotes elegance – designed with a personal touch, true to my own initials: LP, Lace and Pearls!
